Patterns
“You can't see it if you're not looking”
A pattern, from the French patron, is a theme of recurring events or objects, sometimes referred to as elements of a set. These elements repeat in a predictable manner. It can be revealing to choose a subject (a color, a shape, a certain type of tree, birds singing, anything), and go looking/listening for it. This is what I did with Patterns Gallery. It was freeing looking at familiar objects and surroundings with fresh eyes - and I was surprised how many patterns there are around us - patterns I did not see until I went looking for them.
