I Am Important
I am engaged
and involved.
Projects to complete.
Deadlines to meet.
Expectations.
I am
Important.
Everyone says it.
I know it is so.
Big company meeting.
Jobs going overseas.
What?
Mine too?
Must be a mistake.
Turn in my keys?
I'm out on the street.
I am -
alone.

Time Traveller
Yesterday is gone,
tomorrow is not yet.
How is it possible then,
for me to so easily,
travel through time,
from past to future,
and back again.
All the while,
ignoring the present,
where my body lives?
snow angel
the car is stuck
the snow is deep
the air is bitter cold
I am lost
I can't go on
I lay down in the snow,
make a snow angel -
and go to sleep

The Mirror
I go downtown
in the morning.
There he is sleeping.
In the doorway.
As always.
I step over him.
As always.
I don't look down,
but this time
I do.
His eyes meet mine.
He is -
me.
