Much of my photography is devoted to creating images that acknowledge and celebrate individuals and groups living on or near the fringes of society. A part of this is finding beauty where mainstream society generally does not. It was in this spirit that I recently brought my camera to a gathering of individuals committed to creating and wearing body art (a lot of it) applied with the use of ink and needles.
The images that came out of this visit, plus two others captured in a different shoot, can be found on my website www.jacksonarts.net in the gallery titled Body Art. I invite you to visit the gallery and if you do, I'm interested in any thoughts you may have about it.
